Reading and Writing
~Read age appropriate books independently:
1st quarter working in Pre A routine, Q2 read level A or B, Q3 read level C, and Q4 read level D text or higher
~Successfully decode simple words
~Read 100 high frequency words by sight.
~Use pictures and context to help figure out words
~Increase listening and reading comprehension
~Make predictions, ask questions, sequence, compare and contrast (while listening or reading a story)
~Use drawing, dictating, and writing to compose opinion, informative, and narrative pieces; writing sentences that can be read by an educator w/ most sounds represented phonetically and sight words spelled correctly.
